How It Works

Server-Side Detection

When you visit IPly, our edge servers immediately detect your IP address from the incoming HTTP request. This happens server-side before the page even loads in your browser.

IP Geolocation

We use industry-standard IP geolocation databases to determine your approximate location, ISP, and ASN information. This data is derived from publicly available routing information.

Our Privacy Commitment

No Tracking

We don't use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking scripts. Your visit is truly private.

No Logs

Your IP address is displayed to you and only you. We do not store, log, or retain any visitor IP addresses or browsing data.

No Data Retention

Once you leave the page, your data is gone. We don't retain any information about your visit or your IP address.

Data Sources

The information displayed about your IP address comes from:

  • IP Geolocation Databases: Publicly available databases that map IP ranges to geographic locations based on ISP registrations.
  • ASN Data: Autonomous System Numbers from regional internet registries (RIRs) like ARIN, RIPE, and APNIC.
  • ISP Information: Derived from WHOIS data and routing information maintained by internet service providers.
